Projects Marine & Industrial Services (PMIS) W.L.L. was established in Bahrain in 1984. This division of projects Holding Company is the premier specialist company in the corrosion control and coatings field in the Middle East.

Since its inception, PMIS has had tremendous success in all aspects of grit blasting and painting works, largely attributable to the unique internal tank treatment system, in use within the company.

This system, with the use o f P M I S ’ s unique computerized – humidi fiers, ensures that constant temperatures are maintain e d inside the tanks for prolonged periods, providing a perfect blasted surface for days with no oxidisation

PMIS own a comprehensive list of specialised equipments and with the recent addition of Automatic Blasting Equipments, capable of accommodating Steel Structures up to 1.5 meters wide, Blasting to SA 2½ standard, the Company has positioned itself to undertake any project of any size within the Middle East Gulf States. This is only a part of the many services provided by the company which include any kind of blasting and painting work including structural steel tanks, internal and external, high pressure washing, scaffolding, waterproofing, fireproofing and corrosion control.

PMIS is an approved contractor to carry out surface preparation and coatings (internal and external) for:

  • Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard Company (ASRY)
  • The Ministry of Electricity & Water
  • The Bahrain Petroleum Company B.S.C (BAPCO)
  • Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C (ALBA)
  • Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC)

The core business of the company is corrosion control. The company is capable of carrying out work to the highest standard on all types of projects, large or small, in all sectors including services to the oil, gas petrochemical and construction industries. PMIS has a unique portfolio of successful projects and continues to build a culture of enterprise and initiative whilst maintaining a reputation for client service and sensitivity to the environment.

The Company is ISO 9001-2000 certified by TUV Rheinland, Germany, for blasting, painting and scaffolding and offers all services to the highest technical standards supported by a fully integrated professional Quality Management System.

More than 400 people are currently employed in a variety of disciplines. Bahrainisation is fully in line with current Government regulations.

Health & Safety in the workplace is most important, with the company’s policy to prevent accidents and protect against hazards an d dan g er s fo ll ow in g the guidance of the Bahrain Government’s Health & Safety Authorities. Automatic Blasting

With the recent addition of automatic equipment to the vast array of specialized equipment already owned by the Company, PMIS are able to provide dust free blasting services to a standard of SA ½, for section up to 1.5 meter wide. The equipment is completely potable and can be relocated to any site within the Middle East Gulf States
